Front Yard Accessories

On another note, I want to show you how incredibly PROUD I am of my front yard,.  This was a whole lot of work and I have NEVER been one to have a green thumb.  I bought about 25 flowers at Home Depot for .99 each and this is the product of lots of miracle grow and water and upkeep.  This is a first for me so it makes me very happy to know that it is working!!

Lauren Conrad

So, this entire outfit head to toe (excluding accessories) is from the Lauren Conrad line currently at Kohls.  I love her.  She has a very feminine feel to her clothes and I literally stalk her clothes until they get cheap enough that I grab a piece.  Once they get cheap enough, I combine it with my coupon and rarely pay more than $15.00 for a single item.  This entire outfit cost me approximately $50.00 including the shoes.  I bought one piece at a time until I had the entire look.  The bag that I use everyday happened to be grey and so as I got home from work, I snapped the pic. :)

Friday Funday!

I LOVE FRIDAYS!! Its a great casual day and the excitement of the weekend always makes me smile.  Today's look is simply that... fun.

Perfect Shoes

I strongly believe that every girl should have that one pair of shoes that stops traffic!!  A pair of shoes that makes you feel invincible! Maybe a pair that turns every head in the room when you walk in.....Can we agree on that?  Do you have a pair that makes you feel that way?  Are you thinking in your head right now "yes, my ___ shoes make me feel like a million bucks!" I hope that you are.  If not, well you have might have some homework to do :)  For me, I saw these shoes at the store and told myself  "I have no idea what I am going to match these shoes with... BUT, they are MINE!! So, I thought I should keep it simple and pair them with a black dress so as to let the shoes be the highlight of the outfit.  Let me know what you think...

Today's look: Strawberry Shortcake

I love to combine different pieces together to make unusual looks.  In this case, I put together a pair of bell bottom jeans with a super girly pink top.  I completed the outfit with a pop of color using a bright chunky turquoise necklace. I would wear this look to any casual outing.  Would you wear this style??

I... AM... CHEAP!!

You may or may not know this about me but... I love a good deal... better yet, I love a GREAT deal! When I talk about cheap, I mean it! My new secret obsession.. sshhh....consignment shops and thrift stores! That's right! This diva loves to get great finds that not everyone is aware of! Just today, I was found a fantastic black and white Polka Dot Dress (that I can't wait to pair with a red cardigan), 2 pair of white American Eagle shorts, and a green shirt from Express! You wanna know what my total was?? A whopping $11.23!! No, that's not a typo! In addition to my fabulous finds there, I scored a pair of The Webster coral flats at Target yesterday (Tuesdays are the best deal days, remember??) These flats were originally $29.99.  So, for just over $7.00 I have an amazing addition to my collection! I honestly don't know what's more shocking... the price... or that I bought a pair of flats?? Ha Ha.  Below are some picture to prove my theory works!!

Are you spending too much on your clothes?

Learn to shop ladies!! Don't be afraid to try new things.  Don't be too proud to use coupons.  My theory is to make the most out of every single dollar.  Below are just a couple of my favorite techniques:

1)   Shop at Kohls - Kohls ALWAYS has coupons. Even if you don't have one on hand, you can tell them at the register that you forgot yours and they will honor it.  30% off of a $20.00 item means it now costs you $14.00!!! Simple... save save save!!!

2)   Shop at Target - Target gets new sales every Tuesday.  Usually their sales will last until Saturday.  Check the side isles of each section of the store.  They will usually place sales items out of sight.  Be smart.

3) New York & Company - sign up for their email list and get coupons DAILY.  They ALWAYS have different deals.  Outlet stores have 30% off at all times, even the new merchandise.

4)   MJRsales.com - one of my new favorite sights!! Shipping is $2 flat per item.  This sight is like many discount stores where you have to DIG!! It is well worth the hunt!! I will post some of my favorite items from the sight soon!
